Northeastern Boundary Shift — Ashwaste Margin Report
The boundary marker at reference point N-7 has moved again. This is the third recorded shift this season. Unlike previous shifts — which followed the rainy months and could be attributed to soil displacement — this one occurred during a dry period, fourteen days without precipitation.
No seismic event was recorded. The junior surveyor on overnight watch, Cadet Fenn, reported hearing nothing and seeing no movement. His account is attached as Annex A.
The ████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████ boundary moved northeast by approximately fourteen spans. No atmospheric event. No witness accounts beyond Cadet Fenn's report, noted for its unusual brevity.
Field note, Officer Maren: I have now surveyed this margin for six years. In six years I have not seen a boundary shift without a cause I could name. I am naming no cause here because I have found none.
Commandant Edenmoor was notified at first light. He did not appear surprised. He asked only one question: whether the marker had shifted northeast or southwest. When I told him northeast, he was quiet for a moment. Then he said: "File it. Don't discuss it."
